West Palm Beach, FL – Good Samaritan Medical Center announces it is a 5-star recipient for Vaginal Delivery as recognized by Healthgrades, a leading resource connecting consumers, physicians and health systems. This 5-star rating indicates Good Samaritan Medical Center’s clinical outcomes for Vaginal Deliveries are statistically significantly better than expected, and places Good Samaritan Medical Center among the national leaders in Vaginal Delivery.

“This achievement is the direct result of our entire team’s relentless focus on providing high-quality maternity services to our community,” said Sheri Montgomery, CEO of Good Samaritan Medical Center. “Having a baby is one of the most wonderful experiences for a family, and we are pleased to continue providing an excellent standard of care our patients have come to expect for more than 100 years.”

Healthgrades analyzed all-payer state data for 16 states for years 2017 through 2019. Healthgrades found that there is a significant variation in hospital quality between those that have received 5-stars and those that have not. For example, from 2017 through 2019, women having a Vaginal Delivery in hospitals rated 5-stars have, on average, a 43.6% lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital than if they were treated by hospitals rated 1-star*.

Good Samaritan Medical Center is now partnering with iconic resort wear brand, Lilly Pulitzer, creating the ultimate Palm Beach experience with the design of its new Lilly Pulitzer Birthing Suites and family waiting room. The two VIP suites are redesigned with the signature Lilly Pulitzer aesthetic, to give new moms and their families a joyful and luxurious feel when they deliver their babies. The suites art & design elements have all been donated by Lilly Pulitzer. Learn more on this and our maternity services or call 866-306-2225.
