Back & Spine

Back pain can severely impede your quality of life. If you’re one of many Americans with back pain, you will find hope at Good Samaritan Medical Center. At our Joint and Spine Institute, we evaluate the pain and stiffness caused by walking, standing or sitting up. Just know that you don’t have to live with back pain.

Beyond back pain

We do more than treat back pain. We can address all issues related to your spine and its complex relationship with your brain, an area of medicine called neuropathy. The full range of programs related to your back or spine can best be covered in our Health Library.

Before surgery

We believe there are many options for back pain and surgery is one of them. More conservative, noninvasive treatments including pain management and physical therapy have shown tremendous results in many of our patients. If these options fail, then surgery may be a good option.

Treatment options include:

  • Laparoscopic spinal fusion
  • Microendoscopic disc repair
  • Reconstructive procedures
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Treatments for a herniated discs
