Scheduling & Visitor RestrictionsWe will be rescheduling some patient appointments and procedures in an effort to protect our patients and staff. Conserving personal protective equipment helps us prioritize the needs of those who may require immediate care. Adjustments to scheduled procedures and appointments will be made as requested by the physician, patient or as required by official local or national public health authorities. We will contact you directly if your appointment or procedure is postponed until a later date. During this time, all Good Samaritan Medical Center facilities will remain open to care for patients who require in-person visits and time-sensitive care. Thank you for understanding our need to take these measures for the safety of all.
Visitor Information and Closures
New Visitor Restrictions
We are closely monitoring the outbreak of the novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19), and we continue to work with The Florida Department of Health, The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to respond to any potential COVID-19 cases in our area.
For the safety of our patients and staff, effective Monday, March 23rd, we will no longer be accepting visitors into the facility until further notice. We appreciate your understanding. These measures will be in effect until we are advised by the CDC or the Florida Department of Health that it is safe to return to normal visiting practices. We appreciate your support and understanding during this time. We are committed to keeping our patients, our staff and our community safe. Thank you for choosing Good Samaritan Medical Center. It is our pleasure to serve you.
For the safety and concern of our patients and staff, we are suspending services at all of our Midtown Imaging Centers beginning Tuesday, March 24th. Good Samaritan’s Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Center located in the Victor Farris Building on the main campus of the hospital will remain open with limited testing capabilities. If you need to reach our staff for scheduling, medical records, or billing inquiries, please call 561.697.3001. We will reopen for business as soon as it is safe to do so.
Additionally, Good Samaritan’s Breast Institute will remain open for diagnostic procedures only. All patients with upcoming screening mammograms will be contacted to reschedule at a later date. Patients who have any questions or concerns may contact our Breast Institute directly at 561.671.7440.
Due to CDC Guidelines and out of an abundance of caution for both patients and staff, effective Monday, March 23rd we will temporarily close all outpatient therapies including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapies at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
We will contact our patients when we are able to resume outpatient therapy services.
Patients are welcome to contact their referring physician or the outpatient therapy department with any questions or concerns. Our number is 561-650-6269.
Restrictions for Hospital Entry/Exit
Entry and exit is now limited to the main lobby and emergency room only.
An exception to any limited visitation policy at the hospital is patients with disabilities who require support from family members or staff in order for them to effectively communicate with medical personnel or otherwise receive equal access to medical treatment.
