5 Palm Beach Hospitals Achieve Highest Rating in Patient Safety

Palm Beach County, Fla. (October 29, 2015)  – Tenet Healthcare’s Palm Beach market, including Delray Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, St. Mary’s Medical Center and West Boca Medical Center, earns the top “A” grade hospital safety score from The Leapfrog Group. The group is one of the nation’s leading patient safety advocacy organizations, providing health care information to consumers.

The organization assigns A, B, C, D or F scores to U.S. hospitals based on their performance in keeping patients safe from preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections. The five Palm Beach County hospitals’ “A” scores are part of The Leapfrog Group’s fall 2015 report and can be found in the latest update to the Hospital Safety Score.

The Leapfrog Group evaluated and graded more than 2,500 hospitals nationwide. The Hospital Safety Score was compiled under the guidance of the nation’s leading experts in patient safety and is designed to provide the public information that can be used to protect themselves and their families. The Leapfrog Group releases the reports on a biannual basis.
