Palm Beach Health Network Chief Nursing Officer, Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Flippo, Named to Florida Board of Nursing

Palm Beach County, Fla. – Chief Nursing Officer for Tenet’s Palm Beach Health Network, and Good Samaritan Medical Center, Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Flippo, is the newest member of the Florida Board of Nursing, as appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis. The Florida Board of Nursing is made up of 13 members. The role of the board is to license, monitor, discipline, educate and when appropriate, rehabilitate its licensees to assure their fitness and competence in providing health care services for the people of Florida.

“I am humbled and honored to get appointed to this prestigious board,” said Flippo. “Nursing is a rewarding profession, and I look forward to playing an integral role in the safety of nursing care for the communities served in the state by the Florida Board of Nursing.

The Florida Board of Nursing plays an integral role in health care regulation as the board members and staff interact regularly with other nursing affiliated groups in Florida, as well as the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

Flippo, is currently the chief nursing officer for the Palm Beach Health Network which includes, Delray Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Palm Beach Children’s Hospital, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, St. Mary’s Medical Center, and West Boca Medical Center. Flippo, earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing Leadership for Healthcare Systems from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Master’s in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
