National Re-Accreditation from the Commission on Cancer of ACS

The Cancer Institute at Good Samaritan Medical Center earns three-year re-accreditation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ASoS) for maintaining levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered care.
For a cancer program to receive accreditation, it must meet 34 CoC quality care standards. The CoC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving patient outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, prevention, research , education and the monitoring of quality care.
