Lactation Support

Breastfeeding encourages close contact between mother and baby. Good Sam has board-certified, in-house lactation consultants to give new mothers the proper guidance and support that they need to be successful with breastfeeding. Our lactation consultants can help with:

  • Engorgement of the breasts
  • Breastfeeding twins
  • How to use a breast pump

Before Baby Arrives

When planning and preparing for the arrival of your baby, you will want to find a hospital that is convenient and provides all of the services you need.

During Your Stay

When you arrive at Good Samaritan Medical Center in labor, you can settle into a comfortably prepared, private delivery room that is equipped for all four stages — labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum. Your bed will be fully adjustable and a reclining couch is available for your partner, friend or family member. Other amenities include language services and a private bathroom and shower. Our skilled nurses and neonatologists use the most advanced technology to care for you and your baby.

Postpartum Support

After delivery, we want to give you and your baby the attention you need while respecting your privacy. Our certified lactation consultant is available if you choose to breastfeed.
