Breast cancer strikes one in every eight women, making cancer treatment centers an important resource for women. The highest success rates occur when the disease is found in its early stages. The Comprehensive Breast Center at Good Samaritan Medical Center gives women in Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast access to advanced tools to detect breast cancer early. Good Samaritan Medical Center’s multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists and patient navigator are dedicated to your care.

Good Samaritan Medical Center offers digital mammograms with a computer-aided detection (CAD) system. Digital mammograms are recognized as advantageous by the National Cancer Institute. Bone density studies and manual lymphedema drainage therapy are available.

Comprehensive Community Cancer Center

Good Samaritan Medical Center is a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center (CoC) awarded by the American College of Surgeons. Applying for and maintaining CoC accreditation is a voluntary commitment by a cancer program that ensures its patients will have access to the full scope of services required to diagnose, treat, rehabilitate, and support patients with cancer and their families. A cancer program is able to continually evaluate its performance and take proactive corrective action when necessary. This continuous evaluation reaffirms the commitment of the program to provide quality cancer care.

Mary Crowley Cancer Research Center Partner

Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers’ mission is to expand treatment options for all cancer patients through investigational vaccine, gene and cellular therapies.

The Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers offers multiple advanced research options to patients with many forms of cancer.

Through a personalized approach, Mary Crowley patients receive a customized plan as unique as each individual. This patient-centric model allows the physicians to take the most promising laboratory discoveries and tailor options to the patient’s genetic profile.

The FDA in its critical mission to advance the safety of medical care has had the opportunity to review and pass judgment on the evidence and science of the planned study.

The early phase clinical trials offered at Mary Crowley are more specialized, less toxic, and exquisitely designed to target key molecular pathways that impact cancer growth, while minimizing harm to the body’s healthy cells.

Highly trained personnel provide support for Phase I and Phase II clinical trial protocols, using innovative technologies and meeting FDA guidelines.

The purpose of these trials is to characterize the mechanism of action, activity and safety of gene and cellular therapies.
