Clinical Research

Good Samaritan Medical Center located in Palm Beach, Florida and the medical oncologists, surgical oncologists and radiation oncologists of Palm Beach Cancer Institute support national efforts to find more effective cancer treatments with minimal side effects. As a member of national oncology research groups, we share results with other cancer programs to benefit all cancer patients.

Active research protocols involve:

  • Treating ovarian and endometrial, breast, lung, colorectal, esophageal and prostate cancers.
  • Working with the American Health Foundation to help determine the role of a low-fat diet in breast cancer recurrence.
  • Work with pharmaceutical companies offering protocols for many malignancies.
  • Participate in two National Cancer Institute-sponsored prevention trials for breast cancer and prostate cancer.
