Echocardiology
What is Echocardiology? It is a process of studying ultrasonic images of the heart and interpreting the results. At Good Samaritan Medical Center in Palm Beach, Florida, our Echocardiology Department serves adult inpatients and outpatients, helping to diagnosis conditions such as Congenital Heart Defects and Congestive Heart Failure.
Tests/procedures available in the department include:
- 2-D echocardiograms
- Transesophogeal echocardiograms
Electrocardiology
What is Electrocardiology (EKG)? An EKG is a simple, painless test that records the heart's electrical activity, helping the cardiologist understand how a patient’s heart is working. Good Samaritan Medical Center’s Electrocardiology Department serves both inpatients and outpatients, helping to diagnosis conditions such as Congenital Heart Defects and Congestive Heart Failure.
Procedures include:
- Twelve lead electrocardiograms
- 24-hour Holter monitoring
