Become A Volunteer

We’re always looking for new volunteers. Email to learn more, call (561) 650-6216.

At Good Samaritan Medical Center, our volunteers make a difference in the lives of our patients, visitors and staff every day. Volunteering offers rewarding opportunities to share your talents and interests in departments and roles throughout the hospital.

We invite you to explore a future in volunteering.

Choose From A Variety of Programs

Pastoral Care Volunteers - Our team of over 15 volunteer chaplains, representing many faiths and backgrounds, helps our part-time Pastoral Care Chaplains meet the spiritual needs of patients and families.

College Program allows pre-med students a chance to see real-life hospital activity.

Teen Program - Teen volunteers gain firsthand knowledge of a hospital’s daily activities and discover the joy of helping others. Many physicians and nurses were inspired to pursue medical careers as teenage hospital volunteers at hospitals.

Ambassadors greet, escort or transport patients by wheelchair throughout the hospital.

Family Liaison Volunteers inform and support families in surgery and intensive-care waiting areas.

Gift Shop - Assist visitors and patients in the hospital gift shop located in the Atrium.

Department Volunteers work alongside hospital departments to support patients and families.

Surgical Waiting Room - Keep family members informed of their loved one’s progress while they wait in the surgical waiting room.

Knitters crochet caps and blankets for ‘preemies’ in our Neonatal Unit.
