Child Care for GSMC Employees

The Child Care Center….Taking Early Education to Heart

The care of your child is one of the most important decisions in your life. As a working parent you want to know that your child is receiving more than just care. You want your child to grow, develop and learn in a loving environment when you can't be with him/her. That's why the Child Care Center at Good Samaritan Medical Center developed a program to meet the meet the needs of your child.

Loving Environment
With more than 20 years experience, the Child Care Center cares for children 6-weeks to 5-years-old in a loving environment. Our goal is to provide care for your child in a warm, affectionate and nurturing environment that lets the child know that he/she is a special person.

Quality Care
Our low staff-child ratio allows us to focus on the developmental goals of your child. We know that as children grow these goals change so we implemented a developmental chart to help your child reach age appropriate goals. For example, as your child moves from infancy into the toddler stage we strive to instill in him/her a feeling of autonomy and a positive self-concept.

We also work with local child development programs to make physical, occupational and speech therapists available to work with children with special needs.

Early Education
We strive to have each child "school ready" when they leave at age five.  Children are exposed to precounting skills and prereading skills with the aim of making them familiar with numbers, colors, and the alphabet. We also strive to develop observation, communication and autonomy skills in your child so that he/she will be familiar with a classroom setting.

Trained Staff
Our staff is comprised of experienced child-care providers and state-certified child development associates.

Convenient and Affordable
Our location on the Good Samaritan Medical Center campus makes it easy for you to bring your child before you report for work. It also allows you to stay involved in your child's care and you can visit with your child during the day.

Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Extended hours are available to 12-hour shift employees.
