Neurologist Sonia Tolgyesi, M.D., has joined the staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center, announced Chief Executive Officer Paul Echelard. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease.

Dr. Tolgyesi has been in practice for more than four years, two of which have been with the Sunrise Medical Group in Plantation, Fla. Previously, she served as a general neurologist at Neurology Consults of Central Jersey PA in New Jersey from 2004 to 2005.

She completed her residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center from 1999 to 2003 and completed a neurology fellowship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York from 2003 to 2004.

“We’re delighted to have Dr. Tolgyesi join our staff,” said Echelard. “Her fellowship training is a tremendous asset to this hospital and to our community.”

Dr. Tolgyesi is board-certified in neurology and psychiatry. In addition to English, she is fluent in Spanish, French, and Hungarian, and she comprehends Italian and Portuguese.
